COVID-19 Statement

The safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff are of the utmost importance to us at The Life House. We also realize that the current situation makes our services even more critical as families may be missing work and their children may not be receiving free and reduced lunch. As a result, we will be changing how we are serving families in need. These changes will help minimize contact between people and increase how quickly we are able to serve people.

Change in Services

Starting Tuesday, March 17th, until further notice, The Life House will move to a drive-thru model to minimize contact and maximize social distancing. We will have one drive-thru line moving south-bound on 118th St and then turning west-bound on Prairie Lane Drive for our food and diaper clients.

The safety of all is our number one priority, so we ask that all clients remain in their vehicles. When you arrive, please follow the directions of our volunteers who are directing traffic.

Some Changes will Include:

  • Drive-Thru Model.
  • Pre-packed food boxes will be provided.  The food should last about 5 days.
  • Pre-bagged diapers will be provided.  The diapers should last for 7-10 days.
  • Paperwork will be minimized.  Find out what documents you need to bring here.
  • High touch surfaces will be sanitized frequently.
  • Only volunteers will be in The Life House building.


We need you. Our volunteers will not have client contact, unless discussed and agreed to prior to the outreach. The majority of volunteers will be placing food boxes and diaper bags into client cars and directing traffic. For questions, email
